Today, I successfully completed my first day of hot yoga! While I did struggle with a few of the poses, I came out of it feeling very relaxed, and definitely well stretched. My favorite pose would have to be the child’s pose, because it was were I felt most relaxed, and where I could really focus on my breathing, rather than structure. But! I am making it a goal to master that downward dog pose…it was by far the hardest! I know I can learn it, and the only thing that’s keeping me from doing it now is my arm strength. I will keep trying, because eventually, I will get it 🙂
Aside from really enjoying yoga (though the heat will really take some getting used to…) today was otherwise kind of a hard day. I watched my 10 year old chihuahua have a seizure, and it nearly broke my heart. I know he’s getting old, and that I need to enjoy the rest of the time I have left with him, but it was so hard seeing him like that. It’s hard to come to terms with the fact that he will be gone one day…I guess I just always feel like my pets will be there no matter what; like they never age. Hopefully I still have a few months with him.
Food today was great with the exception of drinking sweetened vitamin water before yoga. I felt sick at times, and I know it made mom really sick too. I’ll remember to just have regular water next time. For breakfast I had a tomato and spinach omelette, lunch I had a leftover porkchop, then for dinner I had a fajita on a corn tortilla with homemade guacamole. I also drank plenty of water today! Feeling good 🙂
Hope everyone has a fantastic week!

I’m so sorry to hear about your chihuahua 😦 That must have been really sad. Keep your head up, it sounds like you had a great time doing yoga!
I definitely did enjoy yoga, and was pretty sore this morning, but it felt great at the same time. I can’t wait to go back!
Chico is doing okay today…he’s just taking it easy. Poor little guy.
